So then you could look towards Kontakt or something else. Like for example if you want some real horn sounds or something else that isn’t synth based, you can’t get that out of serum.

If you’re loving serum then stick with it and learn the ins and outs! Eventually you’ll start thinking about what you may be missing in your productions and can maybe find a more specific software instrument that would fill the gaps. But yeah it’s easy to get lost in and is mad expensive. With over 13,000 presets and 30+ legendary synths, Analog Lab is a phenomenal song writing tool.1. It has a way different library of sounds and can do a lot of different stuff that serum can’t do and vice versa. If you’re looking to play with some great analog synth sounds quickly and easily, Analog Lab 5 is for you. Omnisphere utilizes a lot of really cool samples as well as having oscillators for synthesis.

I also use omnisphere a lot but once again a totally diff tool than serum. It is an incredible bundle though and I’m personally a huge fan. But if you aren’t making music that requires the sound of analog synths and keyboards then you’re good anyways. They are all emulators of classic analog synths and keyboards and you won’t get a lot of the same sound from serum. Like someone else said, the analog lab plug in is just a preview of all the diff synths in the bundle. The V Collection bundle is way diff though. It definitely can go a long way on its own. Serum is awesome as far as a wave table synth goes.
